| 93:1 سورة الضحى بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ والضحى |

| Transliteration | Waaldduha |
| Literal | And/by the sunrise/daybreak . |
| |
|
| Yusuf Ali | By the Glorious Morning Light, |
| Pickthal | By the morning hours |
| Arberry | By the white forenoon |
| Shakir | I swear by the early hours of the day, |
| Sarwar | By the midday brightness |
| Khalifa | By the forenoon. |

| Malik | By the morning day light,[1] |
| QXP | (O Sincere human being!) Consider the Daylight. |

| 93:2 والليل اذا سجى |
| |

| Transliteration | Waallayli itha saja |
| Literal | And/by the night when/if it quietened/became covered . |
| |
|
| Yusuf Ali | And by the Night when it is still,- |
| Pickthal | And by the night when it is stillest, |
| Arberry | and the brooding night! |
| Shakir | And the night when it covers with darkness. |
| Sarwar | and by the calm of night, |
| Khalifa | By the night as it falls. |
| Hilali/Khan | And by the night when it is still (or darkens); |
| H/K/Saheeh | And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, |
| Malik | and by the night when it covers with darkness,[2] |
| QXP | And the night when it is still. (There is light at the end of the tunnel and with hardship is ease, like there is Daybreak after the Night (89:1), (92:1-2), (94:6)). |

| Free Minds | And the night when it falls. |
| Qaribullah | and by the night when it covers, |

ad-Dhuha 093:003
| 93:3 ماودعك ربك وماقلى |
| |
|
| Transliteration | Ma waddaAAaka rabbuka wama qala |
| Literal | Your Lord did not leave/desert you , and nor hate/hit (you) on the head. |
| |
|
| Yusuf Ali | Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. |
| Pickthal | Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, |
| Arberry | Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee |
| Shakir | Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, |
| Sarwar | (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. |
| Khalifa | Your Lord never abandoned you, nor did He forget. |
| Hilali/Khan | Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. |
| H/K/Saheeh | Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muúammad], nor has He detested [you]. |
| Malik | your Lord has neither forsaken you, O Muhammad, nor is He displeased.[3] |
| QXP | Your Lord has never forsaken you, nor did He ever forget you. |
| Maulana Ali | Thy Lord has not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. |
| Free Minds | Your Lord has not left you, nor did He forget. |
| Qaribullah | your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. |

| George Sale | Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, neither doth He hate thee. |

| Asad | Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: |
ad-Dhuha 093:004
| 93:4 وللاخرة خير لك من الاولى |
| |

| Transliteration | Walal-akhiratu khayrun laka mina al-oola |
| Literal | And the end (other life) (E) (is) better for you than the first/beginning. |
| |
|
| Yusuf Ali | And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. |
| Pickthal | And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, |
| Arberry | and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. |
| Shakir | And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. |
| Sarwar | The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. |
| Khalifa | The Hereafter is far better for you than this first (life). |
| Hilali/Khan | And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). |
| H/K/Saheeh | And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. |
| Malik | Certainly the later period shall be better for you than the earlier.[4] |
| QXP | And verily, being far-sighted is better for you than being short-sighted. |
| Maulana Ali | And surely the latter state is better for thee than the former. |
| Free Minds | And the Hereafter is better for you than the first. |
| Qaribullah | The Last shall be better for you than the First. |

| George Sale | Verily the life to come shall be better for thee than this present life: |
| JM Rodwell | And surely the Future shall be better for thee than the Past, |

| Asad | for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! |
ad-Dhuha 093:005
| 93:5 ولسوف يعطيك ربك فترضى |
| |
|
| Transliteration | Walasawfa yuAAteeka rabbuka fatarda |
| Literal | And your Lord will/shall (E) give/grant you , so you accept/approve . |
| |
|
| Yusuf Ali | And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. |
| Pickthal | And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. |
| Arberry | Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. |
| Shakir | And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. |
| Sarwar | Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. |
| Khalifa | And your Lord will give you enough; you will be pleased. |
| Hilali/Khan | And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. |
| H/K/Saheeh | And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. |
| Malik | Soon your Lord shall grant you something with which you will be well-pleased.[5] |
| QXP | And verily, soon will your Lord give unto you so that you will be well-pleased. |
| Maulana Ali | And soon will thy Lord give thee so that thou wilt be well pleased. |
| Free Minds | And your Lord will give you and you will be pleased. |
| Qaribullah | Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. |

| George Sale | And thy Lord shall give thee a reward wherewith thou shalt be well pleased. |

| 93:6 الم يجدك يتيما فاوى |
| |

| Transliteration | Alam yajidka yateeman faawa |
| Literal | Did He not find you an orphan , so he sheltered (you)? |
| |
|
| Yusuf Ali | Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? |
| Pickthal | Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? |
| Arberry | Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? |
| Shakir | Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? |
| Sarwar | Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter?. |
| Khalifa | Did He not find you orphaned and He gave you a home? |

| 93:7 ووجدك ضالا فهدى |
| |

| Transliteration | Wawajadaka dallan fahada |
| Literal | And He found you misguided so He guided (you)? |
| |
|
| Yusuf Ali | And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. |
| Pickthal | Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? |
| Arberry | Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? |
| Shakir | And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? |
| Sarwar | Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance?. |
| Khalifa | He found you astray, and guided you. |
| Hilali/Khan | And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? |
| H/K/Saheeh | And He found you lost and guided [you], |
| Malik | Did He not find you lost and gave you guidance?[7] |
| QXP | And He found you looking for guidance, and showed you the way. ('Dhall' = Wandering = Looking for guidance = Straying). |
| Maulana Ali | And find thee groping, so He showed the way? |
| Free Minds | And He found you lost, and He guided you? |
| Qaribullah | Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? |

ad-Dhuha 093:008
| 93:8 ووجدك عائلا فاغنى |
| |

| Transliteration | Wawajadaka AAa-ilan faaghna |
| Literal | And He found you having dependents/poor , so He enriched/satisfied (you)? |
| |
|
| Yusuf Ali | And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. |
| Pickthal | Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? |
| Arberry | Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? |
| Shakir | And find you in want and make you to be free from want? |
| Sarwar | And did He not find you in need and make you rich?. |
| Khalifa | He found you poor, and made you rich. |
| Hilali/Khan | And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? |
| H/K/Saheeh | And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. |
| Malik | Did He not find you poor and made you self-sufficient?[8] |
| QXP | And He found you dependent, and made you independent. (Infancy to youth). |
| Maulana Ali | And find thee in want, so He enriched thee? |
| Free Minds | And He found you in need, so He gave you riches? |
| Qaribullah | Did He not find you poor and suffice you? |

| George Sale | And did He not find thee needy, and hath He not enriched thee? |

| Asad | And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? |
ad-Dhuha 093:009
| 93:9 فاما اليتيم فلا تقهر |
| |
|
| Transliteration | Faamma alyateema fala taqhar |
| Literal | So as for the orphan , so do not humiliate/compel . |
| |
|
| Yusuf Ali | Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, |
| Pickthal | Therefor the orphan oppress not, |
| Arberry | As for the orphan, do not oppress him, |
| Shakir | Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). |
| Sarwar | Do not oppress the orphans |
| Khalifa | Therefore, you shall not forsake the orphan. |
| Hilali/Khan | Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, |
| H/K/Saheeh | So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. |
| Malik | Therefore, do not treat the orphan with harshness[9] |
| QXP | Now you shall not treat harshly any orphan, widow, the helpless and he who feels left alone in the society. |
| Maulana Ali | Therefore the orphan, oppress not. |
| Free Minds | As for the orphan, you shall not make him sad. |
| Qaribullah | Do not oppress the orphan, |
| |

| George Sale | Wherefore oppress not the orphan; |
| JM Rodwell | As to the orphan therefore wrong him not; |

| Asad | Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, |
ad-Dhuha 093:010
| 93:10 واما السائل فلا تنهر |
| |
|
| Transliteration | Waamma alssa-ila fala tanhar |
| Literal | And as for the asker/questioner/beggar , so do not yell at/drive away . |
| |
|
| Yusuf Ali | Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); |
| Pickthal | Therefor the beggar drive not away, |
| Arberry | and as for the beggar, scold him not; |
| Shakir | And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), |
| Sarwar | and do not reject the beggars |
| Khalifa | Nor shall you reprimand the beggar. |
| Hilali/Khan | And repulse not the beggar; |
| H/K/Saheeh | And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. |
| Malik | and do not chide away the beggar,[10] |
| QXP | And never shall you repulse him who seeks help. |
| Maulana Ali | And him who asks, chide not. |
| Free Minds | And as for the beggar, you shall not reprimand. |
| Qaribullah | nor drive away the one who asks. |

| George Sale | neither repulse the beggar: |
| JM Rodwell | And as to him that asketh of thee, chide him not away; |

| Asad | and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, |
ad-Dhuha 093:011
| 93:11 واما بنعمة ربك فحدث |
| |
|
| Transliteration | Waamma biniAAmati rabbika fahaddith |
| Literal | And as for with your Lord's blessing/goodness , so tell/inform. |
| |
|
| Yusuf Ali | But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! |
| Pickthal | Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. |
| Arberry | and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. |
| Shakir | And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). |
| Sarwar | and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. |
| Khalifa | You shall proclaim the blessing your Lord has bestowed upon you. |
| Hilali/Khan | And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). |
| H/K/Saheeh | But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. |
| Malik | and rehearse the bounty of your Lord.[11] |
| QXP | But the blessings of your Lord you shall speak of by sharing. ('Haddith' = Convey and share what you have learned and gained). |
| Maulana Ali | And the favour of thy Lord proclaim. |
| Free Minds | And you shall proclaim the blessings from your Lord. |
| Qaribullah | But tell of the favors of your Lord! |

| George Sale | But declare the goodness of thy Lord. |
| JM Rodwell | And as for the favours of thy Lord tell them abroad. |
| |

| Asad | and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. |
