| Transliteration | Thumma inna AAalayna bayanahu |
| Literal | Then that truly on Us (is) its clarification/explanation. |
| Yusuf Ali | Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): |
| Pickthal | Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof. |
| Arberry | Then Ours it is to explain it. |
| Shakir | Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. |
| Sarwar | We shall be responsible for its explanation. |
| Khalifa | Then it is we who will explain it. |
