| Transliteration | Thumma inna AAalayna bayanahu |
| Literal | Then that truly on Us (is) its clarification/explanation. |
| Yusuf Ali | Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): |
| Pickthal | Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof. |
| Arberry | Then Ours it is to explain it. |
| Shakir | Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. |
| Sarwar | We shall be responsible for its explanation. |
| Khalifa | Then it is we who will explain it. |
| Hilali/Khan | Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, |
| H/K/Saheeh | Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. |
| Malik | and then it is Our responsibility to explain it.[19] |
| QXP | Then, behold! It is for Us to explain it. (The Qur'an is its own best commentary. It explains itself). |

| Free Minds | Then it is for Us to clarify it. |
| Qaribullah | It's explanation is upon Us. |
