al-Qiyamah (The Rising of the Dead, Resurrection) 75:10

75:10 يقول الانسان يومئذ اين المفر


TransliterationYaqoolu al-insanu yawma-ithin ayna almafarru
LiteralThe human/mankind that day says: "Where (is) the escape/escape to (shelter)?"

Yusuf AliThat Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?"
PickthalOn that day man will cry: Whither to flee!
Arberry upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?'
ShakirMan shall say on that day: Whither to fly to?
Sarwarpeople will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?".
KhalifaThe human being will say on that day, "Where is the escape?"
Hilali/KhanOn that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?"
H/K/SaheehMan will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?"
Malik- on that Day man will ask: "Is there any way to escape?"[10]
QXPOn that Day man will wonder, "Where to flee!" (In this life and in the life to come. Verses 7-10 could easily allude to the merging of the super power of the times, Persia with the newly enlightened Arabia in 642 C.E., 10 years after the exalted Prophet's death).
