| Transliteration | Faalmudabbirati amran |
| Literal | So the regulators/arrangers/planners (of) a matter/affair/order/command. |
| Yusuf Ali | Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), |
| Pickthal | And those who govern the event, |
| Arberry | by those that direct an affair! |
| Shakir | Then those who regulate the affair. |
| Sarwar | and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). |
| Khalifa | to carry out various commands. |
| Hilali/Khan | And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). |

| Malik | and those who regulate the affairs of the world![5] |
