al-Mu'minun (The Believers) 23:3

23:3 والذين هم عن اللغو معرضون


TransliterationWaallatheena hum AAani allaghwi muAAridoona
LiteralAnd those who from the nonsense/senseless talk, they are objecting/turning away .

Yusuf AliWho avoid vain talk;
PickthalAnd who shun vain conversation,
Arberry and from idle talk turn away
ShakirAnd who keep aloof from what is vain,
Sarwarwho avoid impious talks,
KhalifaAnd they avoid vain talk.
Hilali/KhanAnd those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden).
H/K/SaheehAnd they who turn away from ill speech
Malikwho avoid vain talk,[3]
QXPAnd who turn away from all that is senseless. (And they value time).
Maulana AliAnd who shun what is vain,
Free MindsAnd they abstain from vain talk.
Qaribullah who turn away from idle talk;

George Saleand who eschew all vain discourse,
JM RodwellAnd who keep aloof from vain words,

Asadand who turn away from all that is frivolous,
