| 8:54 كداب ال فرعون والذين من قبلهم كذبوا بايات ربهم فاهلكناهم بذنوبهم واغرقنا ال فرعون وكل كانوا ظالمين | |
| Transliteration | Kada/bi ali firAAawna waallatheena min qablihim kaththaboo bi-ayati rabbihim faahlaknahum bithunoobihim waaghraqna ala firAAawna wakullun kanoo thalimeena |
| Literal | As Pharaoh's family's affairs/habits and those from before them, they denied/falsified with God's verses/evidences , so We made them die/destroyed them because of their crimes, and We drowned/sunk Pharaoh's family, and all/each were unjust/oppressors. |
| Yusuf Ali | (Deeds) after the manner of the people of Pharaoh and those before them": They treated as false the Signs of their Lord: so We destroyed them for their crimes, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh: for they were all oppressors and wrong-doers. |
