| Transliteration | Waalnnashitati nashtan |
| Literal | And/by the active/pullers , actively/pulling . |
| Yusuf Ali | By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); |
| Pickthal | By the meteors rushing, |
| Arberry | and those that draw out violently, |
