al-Ma'idah (The Table, The Table Spread)

5:37 يريدون ان يخرجوا من النار وماهم بخارجين منها ولهم عذاب مقيم


TransliterationYureedoona an yakhrujoo mina alnnari wama hum bikharijeena minha walahum AAathabun muqeemun
LiteralThey want that they get out from the fire, and they are not with getting out from it, and for them (is) a continuing torture.

Yusuf AliTheir wish will be to get out of the Fire, but never will they get out therefrom: their penalty will be one that endures.
PickthalThey will wish to come forth from the Fire, but they will not come forth from it. Theirs will be a lasting doom.
Arberry They will desire to come forth from the Fire, but they will not come forth from it; for them awaits a lasting chastisement.
ShakirThey would desire to go forth from the fire, and they shall not go forth from it, and they shall have a lasting punishment.
SarwarThey will wish to get out of the fire but they will not have such a choice. Their torment will be constant.
KhalifaThey will want to exit Hell, but alas, they can never exit therefrom; their retribution is eternal.

H/K/SaheehThey will wish to get out of the Fire, but never are they to emerge therefrom, and for them is an enduring punishment.
MalikThey will desire to get out of the fire but will not be able to do so and they shall have an everlasting punishment.[37]
QXPThey will wish to come out of the Fire, but they will not be able to come out of it. Theirs will be a lasting punishment.
Maulana AliThey would desire to come forth from the Fire, and they will not come forth from it, and theirs is a lasting chastisement.
Free MindsThey want to get out of the Fire, but they can never leave it; and they will have a permanent retribution.
Qaribullah They will wish to get out of the Fire, but they shall not, theirs shall be a lasting punishment.
