| Transliteration | Faaradoo bihi kaydan fajaAAalnahumu al-asfaleena |
| Literal | So they intended/wanted a conspiracy/harm with (for) him, so We made/put them the lowest/meanest. |
| Yusuf Ali | (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! |
