37:89 فقال اني سقيم


TransliterationFaqala innee saqeemun
LiteralSo he said: "That I am sick/ill ."

Yusuf AliAnd he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!"
PickthalThen said: Lo! I feel sick!
Arberry and he said, 'Surely I am sick.'
ShakirThen he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these).
Sarwarand said, "I am sick!".
KhalifaThen he gave up and said, "I am tired of this!"
Hilali/KhanAnd he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagans feast)."
H/K/SaheehAnd said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill."
