as-Saffat (Those Who Set The Ranks, Drawn up in Ranks, The Rangers) 37:145

37:145 فنبذناه بالعراء وهو سقيم


TransliterationFanabathnahu bialAAara-i wahuwa saqeemun
LiteralSo We casted him off/discarded him at the open space and (while) he is sick/ill .

Yusuf AliBut We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness,
PickthalThen We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick;
Arberry but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick,
ShakirThen We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick.
SarwarWe cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick.
KhalifaWe had him thrown up into the desert, exhausted.
Hilali/KhanBut We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick,
H/K/SaheehBut We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill.
MalikThen We cast him upon a desolate shore in a state of serious illness[145]
QXP(He freed himself and swam to safety.) Then We cast him on the shore, while he was exhausted. (68:49).
