23:77 حتى اذا فتحنا عليهم بابا ذا عذاب شديد اذا هم فيه مبلسون


TransliterationHatta itha fatahna AAalayhim baban tha AAathabin shadeedin itha hum feehi mublisoona
LiteralUntil when We opened on them a door/entrance of strong (severe) torture, then they are in it, they are confused/dumbfounded.

Yusuf AliUntil We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein!
PickthalUntil, when We open for them the gate of extreme punishment, behold! they are aghast thereat.
Arberry until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it.
ShakirUntil when We open upon them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it.
