al-Mu'minun (The Believers) 23:108

23:108 قال اخسأوا فيها ولاتكلمون


TransliterationQala ikhsaoo feeha wala tukallimooni
LiteralHe said: "Be despised/humiliated in it, and do not converse/speak (to) me ."

Yusuf AliHe will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me!
PickthalHe saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me.
Arberry 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me.
ShakirHe shall say: Go away into it and speak nat to Me;
SarwarHe will say, "Be quiet and say nothing."
KhalifaHe will say, "Abide therein, humiliated, and do not speak to Me.
Hilali/KhanHe (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!"
H/K/SaheehHe will say, Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me.
MalikIn answer to this Allah will say: "Stay here in shame and do not plead with Me![108]
QXPHe will say, "Dump yourselves therein and plead not with Me."
Maulana AliHe will say: Begone therein, and speak not to Me.
Free MindsHe said: "Be humiliated therein and do not speak to Me."
Qaribullah He will say: 'Slink there in it and do not speak to Me. '

JM RodwellHe will say; "Be ye driven down into it; and, address me not."

Asad[But] He will say: "Away with you into this [ignominy]! [My interpolation of the word "ignominy" is based on the fact that this concept is inherent in the verb khasaa (lit., "he drove [someone or something] scornfully away'), and is, therefore, forcefully expressed in the imperative ikhsa'u.] And speak no more unto Me!
