| Transliteration | Illa tathkiratan liman yakhsha |
| Literal | Except (as) a reminder to who fears. |
| Yusuf Ali | But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- |
| Pickthal | But as a reminder unto him who feareth, |

| Shakir | Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: |
