| 9:20 الذين امنوا وهاجروا وجاهدوا في سبيل الله باموالهم وانفسهم اعظم درجة عند الله واولئك هم الفائزون | |
| Transliteration | Allatheena amanoo wahajaroo wajahadoo fee sabeeli Allahi bi-amwalihim waanfusihim aAAthamu darajatan AAinda Allahi waola-ika humu alfa-izoona |
| Literal | Those who believed and emigrated and struggled/exerted in God's way/sake with their properties/wealths and themselves, (are) a step/degree greater at God, and those, they are the winners/successful . |
| Yusuf Ali | Those who believe, and suffer exile and strive with might and main, in Allah's cause, with their goods and their persons, have the highest rank in the sight of Allah: they are the people who will achieve (salvation). |
| Pickthal | Those who believe, and have left their homes and striven with their wealth and their lives in Allah's way are of much greater worth in Allah's sight. These are they who are triumphant. |
| Arberry | Those who believe, and have emigrated, and have struggled in the way of God with their possessions and their selves are mightier in rank with God; and those -- they are the triumphant; |
