9:114 وماكان استغفار ابراهيم لابيه الا عن موعدة وعدها اياه فلماتبين له انه عدو لله تبرا منه ان ابراهيم لاواه حليم


TransliterationWama kana istighfaru ibraheema li-abeehi illa AAan mawAAidatin waAAadaha iyyahu falamma tabayyana lahu annahu AAaduwwun lillahi tabarraa minhu inna ibraheema laawwahun haleemun
LiteralAbraham's asking for forgiveness for his father was not except on a promise he promised it (to only) him, so when (it) was clarified/explained to him, that he (his father is) an enemy to God, he declared innocence from him, that Abraham (is a) clement groaner/moaner (E) .
