| Transliteration | Yaqoolu ya laytanee qaddamtu lihayatee |
| Literal | He says: "Oh if only I advanced/presented/preceded for my life." |
| Yusuf Ali | He will say: "Ah! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my (Future) Life!" |
