| 6:107 ولو شاء الله مااشركوا وماجعلناك عليهم حفيظا وماانت عليهم بوكيل | |
| Transliteration | Walaw shaa Allahu ma ashrakoo wama jaAAalnaka AAalayhim hafeethan wama anta AAalayhim biwakeelin |
| Literal | And if God wanted/willed, they would not (have) shared/made partners (with God), and We did not make you a protector/observer on them, and you are not on them with a guardian . |
| Yusuf Ali | If it had been Allah's plan, they would not have taken false gods: but We made thee not one to watch over their doings, nor art thou set over them to dispose of their affairs. |
| Pickthal | Had Allah willed, they had not been idolatrous. We have not set thee as a keeper over them, nor art thou responsible for them. |
| Arberry | Had God willed, they were not idolaters; and We have not appointed thee a watcher over them, neither art thou their guardian. |
