| 57:23 لكيلا تاسوا على مافاتكم ولاتفرحوا بما اتاكم والله لايحب كل مختال فخور | |
| Transliteration | Likayla ta/saw AAala ma fatakum wala tafrahoo bima atakum waAllahu la yuhibbu kulla mukhtalin fakhoorin |
| Literal | In order that you not grieve/sadden/sorrow for what passed/missed your permanently, and do not rejoice/delight with what He gave you, and God does not love/like every/each conceited/arrogant, proud/ arrogant (person).405 |
| Yusuf Ali | In order that ye may not despair over matters that pass you by, nor exult over favours bestowed upon you. For Allah loveth not any vainglorious boaster,- |
