| 5:26 قال فانها محرمة عليهم اربعين سنة يتيهون في الارض فلا تاس على القوم الفاسقين | |
| Transliteration | Qala fa-innaha muharramatun AAalayhim arbaAAeena sanatan yateehoona fee al-ardi fala ta/sa AAala alqawmi alfasiqeena |
| Literal | (God) said: "So that it truly is forbidden/prohibited on them forty years, they stray/wander in the earth/Planet Earth, so do not grieve on the nation the debauchers ." |
| Yusuf Ali | Allah said: "Therefore will the land be out of their reach for forty years: In distraction will they wander through the land: But sorrow thou not over these rebellious people. |
