| Transliteration | Waallatheena itha asabahumu albaghyu hum yantasiroona |
| Literal | And those who when/if the oppression/transgression struck/marked them , they become victorious. |
| Yusuf Ali | And those who, when an oppressive wrong is inflicted on them, (are not cowed but) help and defend themselves. |
