37:167 وان كانوا ليقولون


TransliterationWa-in kanoo layaqooloona
LiteralAnd if they (the disbelievers) were saying (E):

Yusuf AliAnd there were those who said,
PickthalAnd indeed they used to say:
Arberry What though they would say,
ShakirAnd surely they used to say:
SarwarEven though they (unbelievers) say,
KhalifaThey used to say,
Hilali/KhanAnd indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say;
H/K/SaheehAnd indeed, the disbelievers used to say,
MalikBefore this, the same disbelievers used to say:[167]
QXPAnd indeed the disbelievers used to say,
Maulana AliHad we a reminder from those of yore,
Free MindsAnd they used to Say:
Qaribullah What, would they then say:

George SaleThe infidels said,
JM RodwellAnd if those infidels say,

AsadAND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say,
