16:55 ليكفروا بما اتيناهم فتمتعوا فسوف تعلمون


TransliterationLiyakfuroo bima ataynahum fatamattaAAoo fasawfa taAAlamoona
LiteralTo disbelieve with what We gave/brought them, so live long/enjoy, so you will/shall know.

Yusuf Ali(As if) to show their ingratitude for the favours we have bestowed on them! then enjoy (your brief day): but soon will ye know (your folly)!
PickthalSo as to deny that which We have given them. Then enjoy life (while ye may), for ye will come to know.
Arberry that they may show unthankfulness for that We have given them. So take your joy; certainly you will soon know!
ShakirSo that they be ungrateful for what We have given them; then enjoy yourselves; for soon will you know

George Saleto shew their ingratitude for the favours We have bestowed on them. Delight your selves in the enjoyments of this life: But hereafter shall ye know that ye cannot escape the divine vengeance.
