108:1 سورة الكوثر بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ انا اعطيناك الكوثر


TransliterationInna aAAtaynaka alkawthara
LiteralWe (E), We gave/granted you the abundance (of goodness).

Yusuf AliTo thee have We granted the Fount (of Abundance).
PickthalLo! We have given thee Abundance;
Arberry Surely We have given thee abundance;
ShakirSurely We have given you Kausar,
Sarwar(Muhammad), We have granted you abundant virtue.
KhalifaWe have blessed you with many a bounty.
Hilali/KhanVerily, We have granted you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) Al-Kauthar (a river in Paradise);
H/K/SaheehIndeed, We have granted you, [O Muúammad], al-Kawthar.
MalikO Muhammad, surely We have granted you the Kauthar (countless blessings, plenty).[1]
QXPBehold, We have bestowed upon you Abundant Good. (The ever flowing stream of Wisdom and Knowledge in this Qur'an (13:35), (14:24-25)).
Maulana AliSurely We have given thee abundance of good.
Free MindsWe have given you plenty.
Qaribullah Indeed, We have given you (Prophet Muhammad) the abundance (Al Kawthar: river, its pool and springs).

George SaleVerily we have given thee al Cawthar.
JM RodwellTRULY we have given thee an ABUNDANCE;

AsadBEHOLD, We have bestowed upon thee good in abundance:

108:2 فصل لربك وانحر


TransliterationFasalli lirabbika wainhar
LiteralSo pray to your Lord, and be perfect/excellent/slaughter (for charity) .

Yusuf AliTherefore to thy Lord turn in Prayer and Sacrifice.
PickthalSo pray unto thy Lord, and sacrifice.
Arberry so pray unto thy Lord and sacrifice.
ShakirTherefore pray to your Lord and make a sacrifice.
SarwarSo worship your Lord and make sacrificial offerings.
KhalifaTherefore, you shall pray to your Lord (Salat), and give to charity.
Hilali/KhanTherefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice (to Him only).
H/K/SaheehSo pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].
MalikTherefore, offer Salah (prayer) to your Lord and sacrifice.[2]
QXPTherefore, follow the Commands of your Lord and convey them to others so that they might follow as well. And sacrifice your comfort for the welfare of the community. ('Sall' = Follow closely. 'Nahr' = Sacrifice = Sacrificing a camel = Sacrificing one's own comfort and resources for a noble cause).
Maulana AliSo pray to thy Lord and sacrifice.
Free MindsTherefore, you shall reach out to your Lord, and sacrifice.
Qaribullah So pray to your Lord and sacrifice.

George SaleWherefore pray unto thy Lord, and slay the victims.
JM RodwellPray therefore to the Lord, and slay the victims.

Asadhence, pray unto thy Sustainer [alone], and sacrifice [unto Him alone].



al-Kauthar 108:003

108:3 ان شانئك هو الابتر


TransliterationInna shani-aka huwa al-abtaru
LiteralThat truly your hater and enemy, he is the mean and despised/of no good .

Yusuf AliFor he who hateth thee, he will be cut off (from Future Hope).
PickthalLo! it is thy insulter (and not thou) who is without posterity.
Arberry Surely he that hates thee, he is the one cut off.
ShakirSurely your enemy is the one who shall be without posterity,
SarwarWhoever hates you will himself remain childless.
KhalifaYour opponent will be the loser.
Hilali/KhanFor he who makes you angry (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), - he will be cut off (from every good thing in this world and in the Hereafter).
H/K/SaheehIndeed, your enemy is the one cut off.
MalikSurely your enemy is the one who will be cut off from the root.[3]
QXPVerily, it is your opponent that will be cutting himself off from the Abundant Good.
Maulana AliSurely thy enemy is cut off (from good).
Free MindsIndeed your rival will be the loser.
Qaribullah Surely, he who hates you, he is the most severed.

George Saleverily he who hateth thee shall be childless.
JM RodwellVerily whose hateth thee shall be childless.

AsadVerily, he that hates thee has indeed been cut off [from all that is good]!
